CWO diploma's zijn in heel Nederland bij alle aangesloten locaties geldig.

De CWO diploma's zijn in het buitenland niet als zodanig erkend, maar op alle diploma's staat naast de Nederlandse omschrijving van het eisen ook een vertaling in het Engels, Duits en Frans afgedrukt. In veel landen kunt u dus gewoon terecht met uw diploma en kunt u gewoon aantonen dat u de bijbehorende kennis en vaardigheden beheerst.

De instructeurdiploma's van de CWO zijn wel ingeschaald volgens de International Sailing Schools Association (ISSA) levels zodat u uw instructeurdiploma kunt laten inschalen in een ander land. Hieronder de vertaling en de daarbij behorende ISSA levels.

2 (voorheen c):        the instructor is competent to teach beginners (under supervision).
3 (voorheen A):        the instructor is competent to teach beginners (ISSA level I)
4 (voorheen B):        the instructor is competent to teach advanced techniques (ISSA level II)
O:                            this person is competent to train and assess instructors (ISSA level III)
 
The instructor trainingprogramme is approved by the Dutch Ministry of Public Health,Welfare and Sports
